Ok White Sox fans, your entire season has come down to one game.
Alexei Ramirez and Gavin Floyd led the charge as the White Sox defeated the Detroit Tigers on Monday to force a one game playoff against the Minnesota Twins to determine the AL Central playoff representative.
Got tickets to the game? Well make sure you are wear black to US Cellular Field and spread the word!
Cubs fans brace yourselves, the SI curse is upon us!

In their 5-1 loss to the Brewers today, the Cubs may have lost their star young catcher Geovany Soto for a period of time. Soto was hit on his hand in the sixth inning and was seen grimacing and was shortly replaced by Koyie Hill.
Soto (.283/.364OBP, 23 HRs, 86 RBIs) is arguably the 2008 Chicago Cubs’ MVP and if he is out for any stretch of the playoffs, the Cubs could really be at a disadvantage. His handling of the staff has been highly commended by those in the organization.
Stay tuned for updates.
Or one would think.
In today’s Chicago Sun Times, Joe Cowley wrote a rather uninspiring article about the White Sox and how they have not yet given up hope on their floundering year. In it, for seemingly no logical reason, Cowley adds this awesome blurb:
As for the double standard with the team across town that hasn’t won a championship in a century, Dye said that goes with the territory.
”The city is basically a Cubs town, that’s no secret,” Dye said. ”We won a World Series a few years ago, and we’re still treated like the outsiders in the city. But we have our fans, and our fans are great. They’ve stuck with us.”
Hey Jermaine, lets worry about the Cubs in October, yeah?
