Cubs Lose Game, and Maybe Soto?

Cubs fans brace yourselves, the SI curse is upon us!

Ah, dangit.

In their 5-1 loss to the Brewers today, the Cubs may have lost their star young catcher Geovany Soto for a period of time. Soto was hit on his hand in the sixth inning and was seen grimacing and was shortly replaced by Koyie Hill.

Soto (.283/.364OBP, 23 HRs, 86 RBIs) is arguably the 2008 Chicago Cubs’ MVP and if he is out for any stretch of the playoffs, the Cubs could really be at a disadvantage. His handling of the staff has been highly commended by those in the organization.

Stay tuned for updates.
