Cubs Sweep Sox, Take AL Central Lead

Or one would think.

In today’s Chicago Sun Times, Joe Cowley wrote a rather uninspiring article about the White Sox and how they have not yet given up hope on their floundering year. In it, for seemingly no logical reason, Cowley adds this awesome blurb:

As for the double standard with the team across town that hasn’t won a championship in a century, Dye said that goes with the territory.

”The city is basically a Cubs town, that’s no secret,” Dye said. ”We won a World Series a few years ago, and we’re still treated like the outsiders in the city. But we have our fans, and our fans are great. They’ve stuck with us.”

Hey Jermaine, lets worry about the Cubs in October, yeah?

Im sick and tired hearing how the sox are sad that the cubs get all the attention. Its like an older sibling whining about how the baby of the family gets all the love. Come on, if the fans didnt love and support their sox, their stadium wouldnt fill up. on second thought, it doesnt fill except for 3 games out for season when the cubs come to play.
